Spring season of 2021 has come to a close and it sure was a mixing pot of quality. From the best piece of animated fiction I’ve seen in years in Studio Kai’s beautiful Super Cub adaptation to disappointing 90s revivals like Battle Athletes Victory ReSTART!, long awaited sequels such as ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE to sudden surprises like Shadows House. Beautiful relationships between unique and wonderful characters in Princess Principal‘s theatrical sequel to disgusting trash romanticizing grooming minors in Koikimo…
Yeah, so, the latter is part of a greater trend in popular anime that I’m not fond of. With that said, here’s my ranking of the various anime I watched these past three months. I’m not including TV series that continue into Summer.
